Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Rodshare website (rodshare.com) and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Rodshare is a platform that connects people who are already making a trip ("drivers") with people travelling the same way ("passengers") so they can share the cost. Rodshare is not a transport operator, taxi service or employer of drivers, and does not provide transport itself.

Rides on Rodshare are private, non-commercial cost-sharing arrangements. Drivers may only recover a fair share of trip costs such as fuel and tolls, and must not use Rodshare to run a commercial taxi business.

Bus tickets shown on Rodshare are provided by independent bus operators. The operator is responsible for the journey, and its own terms and cancellation policy apply to your ticket.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to give accurate information, keep your login details private, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity on your account.

To offer rides, you must complete identity verification (KYC), hold a valid driving licence, and only drive vehicles you're legally allowed to drive that are registered, insured and roadworthy. You must follow traffic laws and drive safely at all times.

You must honour rides you post, keep your ride details accurate, and charge no more than the fare shown in the app. Platform and cancellation fees that apply to drivers are shown in the app before they are charged.

You agree to arrive on time at the agreed pickup point, pay the fare shown at booking, treat the driver and other passengers with respect, and follow the driver's reasonable instructions about the vehicle.

The fare for each seat is shown before you book. Cancellations made well before departure are free; cancellations close to departure may carry a fee, which is always shown before you confirm. The same rules apply to drivers and passengers.

Online payments are processed by our payment partner. Refunds, where applicable, are returned to the original payment method. For bus tickets, the operator's cancellation policy shown at booking decides any refund.

You must not use the Service to break the law, harass or endanger others, post false or misleading rides, impersonate anyone, collect other users' personal data, send spam, or interfere with how the Service works. Content you post (such as ride details, messages and reviews) must be accurate and must not be abusive or offensive.

Rodshare verifies drivers and provides safety tools such as boarding OTPs, ratings, in-app chat and reporting, but we can't guarantee the conduct of any user. Use your own judgement before travelling with anyone. In an emergency, call 112. You can report a ride or user from the app or by emailing us.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, receive serious safety complaints, or put other users at risk. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.

Rodshare provides the platform on an "as is" basis. Each ride is an arrangement between the driver and passengers, and each bus journey is provided by its operator. To the extent permitted by law, Rodshare is not liable for indirect losses or for the acts or omissions of drivers, passengers or bus operators. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the app or on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
